History of The Golden Ball

One of Pilling’s historic landmarks is ‘The Golden Ball.’

Built in 1904 and centrally situated in the idyllic village of Pilling. It is one of Pilling’s oldest businesses.

Previously run by Ruby and Bill Whiteside from 1967—1980, where they built a reputation for good, locally sourced, home made Food. The family returned in 2000 when Ruby and Bill's son, Billy, took over the pub.

‘The Golden Ball’ remains one of Pilling's best businesses.

Outside dining and seating area. Secure garden area for children to run about and play games safely, you'll often see a game of football.

Dogs and horses very welcome...please ask for water for them and we often have treats for the dogs and carrots for the horses.
